Xiaomi 16 to arrive earlier than expected with a gigantic battery

According to a new rumor out of China, the Xiaomi 16 will be the first device to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset on board. This likely will only be the Chinese launch, mind you, and the exclusive is probably only going to last a few days, if that, judging by how these things have taken place in the past.
What’s perhaps more notable here is that the Xiaomi 16 is allegedly going to get unveiled in September, earlier than its predecessor which was only announced in October. This implies Qualcomm will be revealing its next flagship chipset in September too.
Xiaomi 15
The Xiaomi 16 is currently being tested with a gigantic 6,800 mAh battery, and when we say gigantic please bear in mind that while its screen is expected to grow compared to the 15’s, it probably won’t do so by much. So it’s very likely to have the biggest battery we’ve ever seen on a device of its size. The battery will also support 100W wired charging, if this rumor turns out to be accurate, of course.
It’s also previously been rumored to sport the best screen for that size, which will apparently be far ahead of the competition. The phone will have a 50 MP main camera, and it is rumored to be getting a periscope telephoto as well.
