Tipster Reveals Galaxy S25 Edge Weight and Pricing Details

This year, Samsung plans to make a splash with its ultra-thin smartphone and redesigned foldable XR headset. Everyone in the tech world appears obsessed with the new model that Samsung is doing its hardest to keep under wraps, the Galaxy S25 Edge, ever since it was teased at Galaxy Unpacked and is now being shown at MWC 2025.

Although information about the forthcoming phone is limited, Samsung has assured consumers that the thin design will not reduce the device’s endurance. The weight of the Edge model may have been confirmed by a famous leaker.

The renowned tipster has now verified the Galaxy S25 Edge’s weight in addition to other specifications.

Even though rumours about the new S25 Edge have been going around for a while, we haven’t been able to find out much about it because Samsung is trying to keep it a secret. A famous source, Ice Universe, however, reveals the new thin phone’s weight. To verify that the Galaxy S25 Edge would be 162g and 5.84mm thick—noticeably slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Plus, which is 7.2mm thick—he took it to X.

It looks like companies are now trying to make a name for themselves in the category of slim phones. This is especially true since phones are getting thicker and heavier to hold because of better camera setups and efforts to offer higher resolutions. Phones are getting bigger and more awkward to carry, even while people love the better photography results. Apple and Samsung are both releasing devices with thinner bodies in an effort to satisfy customers’ demands for improved design and usability.

The leaker continues by speculating that the Galaxy S25 Edge would have a starting price of roughly $999, just like the S25 Plus. This would put the phone in the same premium category as the S25 Plus, despite its smaller design. Along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the sleek phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU.

The camera setup is believed to have a 200MP primary and a 50MP ultrawide camera. However, to achieve the slim design, the phone may come with a smaller 3,900mAh battery. In April, Samsung will formally unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge, and in May, sales will commence. Stay tuned for further updates as the launch date draws near.
