iPhone Users Can Now Enjoy YouTube Music’s AI Radio Feature

After launching on Android last September, YouTube Music’s AI-driven “Ask Music” radio generator has finally arrived on iPhone and iPad.

Users will now see an “Ask for music” section near the top of the Home tab, featuring a carousel of 10 suggested prompts. Tapping one instantly creates a personalized radio station. Additionally, there’s a text field with a voice input option, allowing users to describe a mood, activity, or specific listening experience to generate a custom station.

Once a prompt is entered, YouTube Music takes a few seconds to create an AI-powered station, displaying the first three songs. The autoplay function is enabled by default, and users can save their station to their library. A short, engaging description is also provided for each generated station.

Enhanced Music Tuner Experience

This new feature complements YouTube Music’s existing Music Tuner tool, which lets users refine their radio experience by selecting artists and adjusting parameters like Artist Variety, Music Discovery, and Filters. This option can be accessed via the Library tab by tapping the New FAB (floating action button) > Radio.

“Ask Music” is available exclusively to YouTube Music and Music Premium subscribers. Initially rolled out in the US, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, Google previously hinted at expanding to more regions. With the iOS launch now live on version 8.10+, additional country support may follow soon.
