HTC Launches Wildfire Series with E5 Plus Featuring 50MP Camera & 6.75″ Display

HTC has introduced the Wildfire E5 Plus, a budget-friendly smartphone designed to deliver a modern experience at an affordable price. While developed by an original design manufacturer (ODM) rather than HTC itself, the device maintains a sleek design and essential features for everyday use.
The smartphone boasts a 6.75-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 720p+ resolution. While the exact panel type remains unspecified, it is likely an IPS LCD. A teardrop-style notch at the top accommodates the 16MP front camera, ensuring a clean and immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Wildfire E5 Plus is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The microSD card slot allows for expandable storage, catering to users who need extra space for apps and media. However, the processor does not include 5G support, limiting connectivity to 4G LTE networks. The device runs on Android 14, bringing a familiar and smooth software experience.
For photography, the phone features a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor on the back. This setup is designed to capture decent shots, while the 16MP front camera handles selfies and video calls with ease.
Equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, the Wildfire E5 Plus promises all-day usage on a single charge. However, details regarding its charging speed have not been disclosed.
The Wildfire E5 Plus has been launched in Vietnam with a price tag of VND 2,379,000 (~$93). There is no official confirmation regarding its global release, but it remains to be seen whether the device will reach other markets.
