Honor GT Pro launched with overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite and 7,200 mAh battery


Honor added a Pro variant to its gaming-focused GT series. The Honor GT Pro is a top-tier flagship with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, four 50MP cameras and a massive 7,200mAh battery with 90W charging. It remains to be seen if the device will make its way outside of China, so we can only watch on from a distance for now.

Honor GT Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED with FHD+ resolution and a 1-144Hz variable refresh rate. The panel is rated at up to 6,000 nits peak local brightness and features Honor’s Giant Rhino Glass for added durability. GT Pro also gets an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP68/69 rating.

Honor outfitted the GT Pro with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite (Leading Edition) chip, which features an overclocked prime Oryon CPU cores running at 4.47GHz and a GPU that runs at 1.2GHz. That’s the same prime CPU and GPU frequencies as the 8 Elite chip found in Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. The SoC is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB storage (UFS 4.1).

There are four 50MP cameras on the GT Pro with an IMX906 main, 3x telephoto (IMX856), and a 120-degree ultrawide on the back, while the front boasts a 22mm selfie shooter tucked inside a punch-hole cutout. The software side is covered by MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15.

Honor GT Pro comes in Gold, White, and Black colors. Pricing in China starts at CNY 3,699 ($505) for the 12/256GB version and tops out at CNY 4,799 ($656) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model.
