New Features in One UI 7
AI Features
One of the standout additions to One UI 7 is the integration of new AI tools that enhance productivity. Similar to Apple’s offerings, Samsung is introducing writing assistance, such as content summarization, grammar and spelling checks, and formatting long notes into concise bullet points. Call transcripts in 20 languages, including English and Hindi, are now supported, and users can make use of the new ‘Audio Eraser’ feature to remove unwanted sounds from videos, offering cleaner audio experiences.
Redesigned Home Screen and Enhanced Widgets
The update brings a sleek new look to the home screen, with revamped widgets and an updated lock screen that offers more customization options. The camera application has also received a redesign, streamlining controls and adding smoother zoom transitions. For users interested in pro-level video, One UI 7 introduces simplified manual settings and enhanced video controls.
Now Bar
A new addition to the lock screen, the Now Bar, is similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island. It offers quick access to frequently used apps like the interpreter, music player, and stopwatch, even without unlocking the device.
Improved User Interface
Samsung has revamped its entire user interface, introducing more fluid animations, redesigned icons, and faster app-opening speeds. The update also allows users to match the color of their wallpaper with the notification tray and home screen icons, adding a fresh and dynamic touch to their devices.
Customization Options
One UI 7 also brings numerous customization options, allowing users to fully personalize their lock screen, including the ability to shuffle icons and change layout styles for a more unique look.
