Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Set for July Launch with Major Upgrades

Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 this year, with a likely launch window in July. The much-anticipated foldable is rumored to debut with Android 16 and One UI 8.0, thanks to Google moving up the Android 16 release to Q2 (April–June).

A fresh leak reveals several high-end upgrades for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, making it one of the most significant foldable releases from Samsung in recent years. The device will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, the same SoC found in the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup.

Among the rumored enhancements are an improved under-display selfie camera, a more durable display with new layering technology, and better dust and water resistance. The device is also said to feature a smaller crease, a larger vapor chamber for heat management, and enhanced speakers and haptics.

Design-wise, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be slimmer at just 4.5mm when unfolded. It may also sport larger displays, including an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch outer screen. A notable camera upgrade is also on the table, with the foldable potentially featuring a 200MP main camera, similar to the one used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

If these improvements materialize, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could help Samsung reclaim its edge in the competitive foldable market, especially against rapidly advancing Chinese brands. While the upgrades may not be groundbreaking, they represent a substantial leap over previous Fold models.
